She usually keeps mum about her private life, but Nelly Furtado revealed in a new interview on Wednesday that she’s back on the market. “ I am single now,” she said on ITV’s Loose Women about secretly splitting from Demacio Castellon last summer. “Someone here needs to update my Wikipedia. Donald Trump Jr. the first son of US president, in a new interview with the Associated Press says he'll not run for office in 2018, but said he's open to the possibility of running in the future. In his words, "maybe someday, it's not something I'm doing now. But you never know, it's fascinating stuff."  In the interview, he added:  '"People keep asking me: when are you running for mayor? Well, I'm not. If I was, New York City mayor is much less interesting to me than perhaps other things like governor of a state. That's not saying I'm running. It's just saying that, hey, if I ever did something, I'd probably be more interested in something like that."

The body of the first female Muslim judge in the United States', Shelia Abdus-Salaam, 65, was found Wednesday afternoon in the Hudson River near Manhattan, in New York. Abdus-Salaam served as an associate judge of the Court of Appeals and was the first African-American woman to serve on New York's top court. Shelia Abdus-Salaam had been reported missing earlier in the day.  Witnesses noticed a body floating in the water near 132nd Street and Hudson Parkway in Manhattan at around 1.45pm Wednesday and called 911, police said. After her body was recovered from the river, her husband, Reverend Gregory Jacobs, confirmed her identity. According to reports, there was no visible signs of trauma or physical injuries suggesting foul play. Police are still investigating. Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, through the Director-General, Lagos State Safety Commission, Hakeem Dickson has hinted on plans to introduce compulsory insurance scheme for all buildings in the state. Hakeem Dickson gave the hint on Monday at a media briefing on the activities of the commission saying it was part of preparations towards the commencement of the policy implementation, the state government, in synergy with consortium of insurance companies and National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), was already working out ways of enforcing the policy. According to him, the measure is in line with the Lagos State Government Safety Law 2003, saying the law would be applicable to both owners of completed and uncompleted buildings in the state. Penalties for defaulters, according to him, attracts N100, 000, fine or one year imprisonment, or both on conviction.
