Drama in Koko Zaria's family as his first daughter posts message subtly shading her father's first wife and she replies

Sometimes polygamy comes with drama and it seems to be unfolding in the family of the NURTW boss, Koko Zaria, who just took a new wife and welcomed a new baby with her. Awele Odita, the latest wife of Koko Zaria, gave birth to a boy, the first son for Koko Zaria who has female daughters already. Koko Zaria's first daughter, Ayinde, posted a photo of the baby to congratulate the new wife on the birth of her son, but the message was not so innocent. It contained what has been seen by some as a subtle jab at her father's first wife, Oyinda "Mumcy Aaliyah". Oyinda saw the post and took offense. It seems she posted a comment on the post but has taken it down after reactions trailed it. She also took a screenshot of her stepdaughter's post and shared on her own account and her followers have attacked the stepdaughter while begging her to overlook the young girl's behavior. Nigeria emerges President, ECOWAS Network of Electoral Commissions (ECONEC)

After a keenly contested election, Nigeria today emerged President of the ECOWAS Network of Electoral Commissions (ECONEC).  Nigeria’s representative and Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Mahmood Yakubu garnered 10 votes to defeat Guinea, which received four votes. The Republic of Benin and Guinea Bissau emerged First and Second Vice Presidents respectively, while Burkina Faso clinched the position of Treasurer. The election followed two days of intensive deliberations on how to deepen the conduct of free, transparent and credible elections and by extension strengthen democracy in the sub-region. The three-day meeting, which began on March 27 in Cotonou, Republic of Benin and was organized by ECONEC, focused on constitutional and legal frameworks, civic and voter registration, register of voters, electoral logistics, results collation and transmission and technological innovations among others. Petty trader in Anambra who has been married for eight years, reportedly commits suicide due to childlessness (graphic photo)

A 38 year old female petty trader, Mrs. Lovina Odo, committed suicide by hanging herself with a rope tied to a ceiling fan at her home in Umusiome village, Nkpor-agu near Onitsha in Anambra State on Tuesday around 5:00p.m. According to preliminary investigations by the police, the deceased could have committed suicide due to the fact that she had been childless in her eight years of marriage. Narrating what happened, husband to the deceased, Okechukwu Odo, a car washer, said he and Lovina had been married for over eight years and had no child. According to Odo he returned home from work at about 6:30p.m. on the day of the incident and found out that his had hung herself inside their one room apartment. Two members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) have been killed with three injured in a suspected Boko Haram attack in Borno State. According to Abba Aji Kalli, the Chairman of the group in Dikwa local government, helping out in combating the Islamist fighters, they were on their way coming back from an operation when they climbed on an EID explosive and the car got exploded on Sunday. He disclosed that two of their members died in the attack while three other persons who got injured are currently receiving treatment at state specialist hospital Maiduguri, Borno state.

Mexican Attorney General charged with drug trafficking at San Diego border

A Mexican attorney general Edgar Veytia, from one of the Mexican states has been arrested at the US-Mexico border in San Diego for smuggling drugs and attempting to distribute drugs. The State of New York filed drug trafficking charges against Veytia, a state prosecutor from the Mexican State of Nayarit, on March 2, which led to his arrest on Monday. U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesperson Ralph Desio confirmed Veytia was taken into custody Monday at the Cross Border Xpress bridge, which links Tijuana Airport to the U.S. Veytia, also known as “Diablo,” “Eepp,” and “Lic veytia,” was indicted on Tuesday for charges, including grand jury charges of international conspiracy to illegally import, manufacture and distribute heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana and cocaine. According to Court documents, the amount of drugs that can be attributed to Veytia for manufacture and distribution between Jan. 2013 and Feb. 2017 is at least one kilogram of heroin, five kilograms of cocaine, 50
