Following the lingering marriage crisis between Olakunle Churchill and his estranged wife Tonto Dikeh, which has seen exchanges of leaked text messages on social media reportedly sent to Churchill’s mother by Tonto and another another reportedly sent also by her mother -inlaw, Churchill’s brother Tokunbo (@gwingz) who is based in the UK has sadly reacted over the misleading frame up against his mother, as he alleged that she never sent the text message Tonto Dikeh claimed as she had been blocked after an earlier text. He further expressed shock after being alerted by an Instagram user (@theyebowale) about claims by Churchill’s estranged wife Tonto Dikeh of paying her own bride price. Tokunbo accused her of lying, making reference exotic cars the brother acquired prior to getting married to her traditionally. In a chat with Punch, the footballer said the late patriarch, Chief James Iloenyosi was kidnapped on November 25, 2013 on his way from mass. He said his father was on his way back from their local Catholic church when three SUVs double-crossed him and whisked him away. “When they took him away, they did not talk to us until after five days. They phoned my twin sister. She was sobbing when she called me that the kidnappers had made contact. “When we the children gathered, my sister called the kidnappers again and they simply told us that they would call back. The Nigeria Police Force  on Friday  said will  withdraw personnel of its mobile formation attached to important personalities in the country back to the barrack. Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, announced this in an interactive session with a group of civil society organisations under the auspices of “The Situation Room’’ in Abuja. He said that the measure was intended to bring the police closer to Nigerians. Idris said that the force had created additional mobile police squadron in states to enhance police operations, adding that Nigerians would now have more Special Protection Units (SPUs) in the commands in the zones. “We will withdraw all mobile police back to barracks to concentrate on dealing with serious law and order situation. “It means that we are stopping deployment of mobile police from protecting VIPs in the country because that is not where they should serve. “This is to allow us have enough men on the ground to deal especially with the issu

Johnny Depp has apologized for his joke about assassinating President Trump. In a statement he released on Friday, he said it was a bad joke and that he didn't mean any harm by it. The Lagos State Police Command has raised an alarm over the new tactics used by kidnappers. Below is a statement issued by the Spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command,  SP Dolapo Badmos. "Please if any one send credit to you and the person later calls you that it was a mistake that you should send it back to them. If you send it back, they will still call you to ask for more details about you that they want to appreciate what you did and pray for you.  Do not listen to such and give out your details please. Its a new gimmick that kidnappers are now using to get victims.  Please let's exercise caution and be careful in our day to day activities in order not to fall victim. The Commissioner for Information in Rivers State, Austin Tam-George, has resigned from office. He turned in his resignation letter on June 23, 2017. In his letter which he delivered to the state's Director of Administration, Ministry of Information, Tam-George thanked the state governor, Nesom Wike, for the opportunity to serve in his government.  “I wish to resign my appointment as Commissioner for Information and Communication with effect from today, June 23, 2017. I have handed over officially to the Director of Administration of the Ministry.
