Read the statement from Lagos state government below... The Lagos State Government on Sunday declared Monday public holiday to mark June 12 celebration in the State, saying that the State remains committed to the ideals of the annulled 1993 Presidential election. In a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Tunji Bello on behalf of the State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, the government said the holiday was in honour of the ideals which June 12, 1993 Presidential election represents being a day that the country experienced an election that was adjudged as the freest and fairest in Nigeria’s history. The Governor said 24 years after, the ideals of June 12 commemoration were worth celebrating, describing the day as one of the most defining moments of the country’s political history which has positively shaped its democratic rule. Micheal Adegbehin pictured above, who is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH and also a disc jockey, died mysteriously after spending his birthday night with his girlfriend simply identified as Blessing last Thursday June 8th. According to reports, Micheal turned 27 on Thursday and after celebrating with his friends, decided to go home with his lover to his elder brother's house at Agbe Road, Abule Egba area of Lagos state. The deceased sent a text message to his brother to inform him that he would be spending the night with Blessing inside his one room apartment. His brother out of courtesy, decided to sleep somewhere else so as to allow the lovers have some privacy. Tragedy however struck when he returned in the morning of Friday June 9th to discover the lifeless body of Micheal inside his house. There was drama on Instagram in the early hours of today as Mabel, interior designer/wife of comedian Ayo 'AY' Makun, called out heavily pregnant socialite Freda Francis. Freda had her Push Party (baby shower) in Ikoyi, Lagos  on Sunday  evening and AY was one of the guests present there. After a photo he took with Freda and a friend surfaced online, Mabel who appeared to have saved some screenshots of an incriminating chat between her husband and Freda in the past, called Freda out and warned her to stay way from her family.
