Just few weeks after opening a new study center in Port Harcourt, Nigeria’s biggest school of music (Tenstrings Music Institute) has taken on another giant stride by opening a new center of the school in the heart of Lekki Phase 1, called “The Lekki Urban Center”. Nigerian footballer and Tottenham midfielder, Dele Alli has won the young player of the year award at the Professional Footballers Association award. Dele won the award for the second successive year at the ceremony which held at the Grosvener hotel in London last night. He beat notable players like Harry Kane, Everton’s Romelu Lukaku, Leroy Sane of Manchester City, Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and Burnley centre-back Michael Keane, to win the award. Following the incessant cases of kidnapping and militant attacks in the Ikorodu area of Lagos state, the state commissioner of police, Fatai Owoseni, had an interactive session with community leaders in the area. During his speech, Owoseni alleged that some of the leaders act as informants to some of the militants and kidnappers. “There are Baales (village heads) that are informants and sponsors of criminals in this area. They allowed militants to build houses harbouring criminals in the creeks. I want the royal fathers to call their chiefs to order. This meeting is convened to tell them that we will no longer tolerate silent conspiracy. Traditional rulers cannot tell me they don’t know who is who in their domain. All communities are advised to organise their local vigilantes.”he said

Winner of the 2017 edition of the Mr and Miss Imo state pageant, Unachukwu Samuel hails  originally from Ikeduru in the East but lived most of his life in Lagos and Ghana. Mr Unachukwu was born on the 14th of May and graduated from Project Management Technology from the prestigious Federal University of Technology Owerri FUTO in 2013.  He is a model and an entrepreneur. His hobbies are football which he started at a very young age playing for a top team and a dedicated fitness fanatic.  Mr and Miss Imo State Nigeria kicked off on the 1st of April with a one week intensive boot camp for all the 40 finalists in the city of Owerri.  The 7th Edition of the  event was organised by the CEO of Chris Events, Mr Ikoku Chris Amakor  and was very successful with a big turnout of politicians, companies, beauty kings and queens and notable people in the industry.
