The traditional wedding ceremony between winner of Mr Nigeria in 2010 and Actor, Kenneth Okolie and US-based wife, Jessica Nwakah, was held yesterday, and here are photos from the wedding ceremony. Nigerian French singer, songwriter, and recording artist, Asa, graced the cover of the latest edition of Guardian life magazine, and the singer's photo on the magazine's cover is stunning. Born Bukola Elemide, her stage name "Aṣa" means "Hawk" in Yoruba. Aṣa was born in Paris, France to her Nigerian parents. Her family returned to live in Nigeria when she was two. Aṣa grew up in a small town near Lagos, in the south-western part of Nigeria. Twenty years later, Aṣa returned to Paris where her life as an artist took off. Whenever Asa came home from school in Nigeria, she discovered musical acts like Erykah Badu, D'Angelo, Raphael Saadiq, Lauryn Hill, Femi Kuti and Angélique Kidjo. This was while she was in pursuit of educational excellence, and these musical acts are whose footprints she dreamed of following.

Well it seems a Nollywood actress, Scarlet Shotade who got married to her heartthrob yesterday, decided to do the unusual, by wearing a purple wedding dress for her wedding. The ex-Beauty Queen/Model, Singer and Actress,  Gbemisola Scarlet Shotade was “Miss Borno” in the MBGN 2012 competition. She starred in Timi Dakolo‘s “Love Song” music video as  the lead video model. She was also in Lynxxx‘s “Eziokwu” featuring Phyno, IllBliss & Ikechukwu; the video for Hennessy Artistry 2012 anthem “Bartender” by Naeto C & M.I and Burna Boy‘s exciting “Run My Race” video. The Ogun State Police have arrested a 37-year-old man, Ifeanyi Ajaero, for allegedly beating his wife before chaining her to a generator from night till morning. The suspect Ifeanyi Ajaero chained his 28-year-old wife identified as Obiageli to the generator on the night of Friday, 14th April till the next morning, Saturday 15th April, 2017.  During interrogation, Mr Ajaero admitted to chaining his wife to the generator, but claimed his actions were for “self-defense. The State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, who confirmed the arrest described the action of the suspect as the height of wickedness and warned residents that the command wont tolerate any act of domestic violence in the state. He has also ordered the immediate transfer of the case to Anti- Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the state Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and prosecution.
