Wizkid has put MTV Base in their place after the music station drew unhealthy comparisons between himself and iconic singer, D’Banj. The drama started yesterday after the ‘Ojuelegba’ singer dropped the images of his collaborative single with Drake and got everyone talking. Many people called out Drake for not appearing in the music video, while many others compared Wizkid’s successes to D’Banj’s. Wizkid clarified yesterday that Drake couldn’t appear in the music video because he was on a tour of Europe when it was shot. However, the singer flipped when MTV Base compared him to D’Banj who had featured Kanye West in his remix of ‘Oliver Twist’. “ So disappointed in y’all for bringing this up. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Lagos zone, yesterday evening, uncovered yet another large sum of suspected laundered money to the tune of N448,850,000 (Four hundred and forty eight million, eight hundred and fifty thousand naira) hidden in a shop at LEGICO Shopping Plaza, Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos. The money stashed in several Ghana Must Go bags were in N500 and N1000 denominations, hidden in a shop awaiting conversion into foreign currency. Relying on information provided by a concerned whistle blower, operatives of the Commision swooped on the shopping complex and sought the identity of the owners of two shops, LS 64 and LS 67 which were under locks and keys. Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, says some states in the North West region are as backward. And challenged as Afghanistan. El-Rufai who said this at the ongoing Kaduna Economic and Investment summit, stated that many of the states are ‎as backward as Afghanistan in terms of Education, Health care and Opportunities. He said: "Yesterday, the Emir of Kano, His Royal Highness, Muhammadu Sanusi II, made certain observations about the state of northern Nigeria within the larger Nigeria context. Hon Yakubu Dogara, Speaker of the House of Representatives, on Thursday, urged the executive branch to ensure that all backlog of pension payments are promptly made, adding that no excuse will be accepted for failure to do so. Dogara made this statement after the minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun and Minister of Budget and Planning, Sen Udoma Udo Udoma, briefed the House on efforts they had made so far to offset arrears owed to Nigerian pensioners. The Speaker said he was confident of the promise made by President Muhammadu Buhari that non-payment of pensions to retired Federal civil servants will be promptly taken care of. He said payment of the 33 percent arrears, should be made preferably within a month. He said: "We will not accept any excuse that leaves  part of this pension funds hanging.
