Wizkid wins four 2017 Billboard Music Awards


2017 seems to be a big year for Nigerian Music star, Ayo ‘Wizkid’ Balogun, who really won it big at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards held on Sunday, as he won a total of four (4) awards on the night, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, US.



The singer was the first ever Nigerian to go home with four Billboard Music Awards, and this was after he had set the record as the first Nigerian to get seven nominations.

One good collaboration, seems to be all Wizkid needed to go home with tbe four awards as his contribution to ‘One Dance’, Drake’s global hit song which also features Kyla, earned him the awards.

‘One Dance’ was nominated in seven categories, which includes, Top Hot 100 Song, Top Selling Song, Top Radio Song, Top Streaming Song (Audio), Top Collaboration, Top R&B Song and Top R&B Collaboration.

The song ended up winning in four of the seven categories, Top Hot 100 Song, Top Streaming Song, Top R&B Song and Top R&B Collaboration.
