An Akure Chief Magistrate Court has sentenced 32 year old Waleola Sunday, pictured above, a pastor with the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church in Akure, Ondo state, to three years imprisonment for defiling little boys who live around his church at Oke Aro area of Akure the state capital. Waleole was arrested by officers of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ondo State following a tip-off. During his trial, the legal officer of NSCDC, Ebiriku David told the court that investigations showed that Waleola was a "serial homosexual" who was in the habit of seducing young males, an act that contravenes section 32 (1) of the Ondo State Child Right Law 2017. Waleole in court pleaded guilty to the crime. The Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reacted to reports of renewed attacks on Nigerians residing in South Africa. In a statement released by the Ministry's spokesperson, Clement Aduku last night, the ministry said the reports of renewed attacks calls for great concern as it comes few weeks after an attack that caused grave damage to Nigerians and their businesses. According to the statement, an altercation between two Nigerians and some South Africans led to a fight at a motorpark in Polokwane at the Limpopo province on March 14th. The Nigerians were injured and taken to a hospital. One has been discharged while the other is still receiving medical attention. The businesses of the Nigerians were however destroyed. The statement adds that this act can however not be classified as a xenophobic attack.

Suspected ritualist, Toafeek Hassan who was caught with a woman's decapitated head and hands  on Sunday , has confessed that he was paid N4000 to butcher the victim. Taofeek who was paraded yesterday at the Ikeja command headquarters by the Lagos State Commissioner, Fatai Owoseni admitted chopping off the victim’s head with a cutlass, while two clerics (alfas) and a herbalist held onto her hands.   He said the cutlass used was given to him by the herbalist who contracted him for the job. According to him, the victim was brought to Lagos from Sango Ota, Ogun State. 'I live at the Itoga-Zeba area of Badagry. I am a wood cutter and at times I assist owners of coconut plantations to pluck coconut. The whole thing started  on Saturday  evening when one of my herbalist friend known as Manase came to me to say that he was expecting two alfas from Sango Ota. Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode yesterday reaffirmed that his administration will complete the ongoing construction of Ajah Flyover by the end of May 2017. He also revealed plans by the government to remove three more roundabouts in Lekki-Ajah corridor to ease movement.      The affected roundabouts, according to Governor Ambode, are Igbo Efon, Chevron and Third Roundabout. In his words, ' I also like to use this opportunity to say that because of the impact that we have seen in the elimination of roundabouts in the Lekki axis, we have actually approved another exercise and starting from next week, we will commence the elimination of additional three roundabouts in the axis most especially Chevron, Igbo Efon and Third Roundabout. We believe doing that will totally eliminate traffic in that axis and we hope to also open the Ajah Flyover before the end of May '.

After yesterday's terror attack in London, US First son, Donald Trump Jr reacted negatively when he read the headline and shared an Independent article titled: Sadiq Khan: 'London mayor says terror attacks 'part and parcel' of living in a major city.' .He tweeted: “You have to be kidding me?!” “Terror attacks are part of living in big city, says London Mayor Sadiq Khan.” The only problem is this article was written in September of last year about Mr. Khan’s reaction to the bombing in New York City. The US Food and Drug Administration confirms that Nine deaths have been reported stemming from a rare cancer that is associated with breast implants. The extremely rare cancer, called anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) affects cells in the immune system and can be found around the breast implant. It can be found in the skin or lymph nodes, and is not a type of breast cancer. The FDA says "all of the information to date suggests that women with breast implants have a very low but increased risk of developing ALCL compared to women who do not have breast implants". Yesterday, the FDA issued an update on its understanding of breast implant-associated ALCL cases. The agency has received 359 reports of possible breast implant-associated cancer cases as of February 1. But the exact number of cases "remains difficult to determine due to significant limitations in world-wide reporting and lack of global implant sales data,". A news release from the San Francisco Department of Public Health confirms that a woman died after consuming poisonous herbal tea purchased in San Francisco's Chinatown. Officials are now urging people to throw away tea purchased from Sun Wing Wo Trading Company.  The woman, who was in her 50s, became "critically ill" in February after drinking tea made from leaves she purchased at the trading company.  Shortly after drinking the tea, she experienced "weakness and life-threatening abnormal heart rhythms," which required resuscitation and immediate medical attention. She remained hospitalized and died in the hospital on Saturday, according to public health officials.

A female fraudster was on Monday, March 20, 2017, convicted and sentenced to 14 years imprisonment at the State High Court sitting in Mararaba, Nasarawa State. Hanna Abraham was sentenced on a 3-count charge of obtaining by false pretence and issuance of a dud cheque to the sum of N7million preferred against her by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. According to reports, the convict was said to have, under false pretence, obtained the said sum as a loan to supply 22 trucks of diesel to News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, and diverted it to other purposes other than what it was meant for. The offence contravenes Section 1 (1) a, Section 1 (b) (i) and Section 1 (b) (i) of the Advance Fee Fraud Act, 2006 and Dishonoured Cheque Offences. Mechelle Epps, the estranged wife of American stand-up comedian and actor, Mike Epps is asking him to pay her $109k a month in child and spousal support following their divorce in 2016, TMZ reports, citing court docs. Ms.Epps told the court that Mike makes $3.5 million a year but recently cut her off from his bank accounts and credit cards, leaving her dry with zero income. She says Mike never wanted her to work during their marriage, and now she can't land a job because she's too old at 36. In the docs, she said she spends several thousands of dollars a month on shoes and clothes for their 10 and 12-year-old daughters.
